Haha, again have a photo in this front door
Every years we will have a family photo in this door of grandpa's house.
Year 2009 lo~ so fast one year is passed again.

I dont want to think too much for my future
what the most I need to think now is my holiday assignments, haiz~
sien ar... my family is playing majong there but I need to sit in front of the laptop.
haha.. but I ngam ngam played few rounds there before and I've won RM10 from them.

2009-01-20_Gathering Steamboat
CD075-6 Gathering again, yeah!
but this time seems like just only our geng are attended for this steamboat.
haha, nevermind lah, that day was fun also.

Last time, we usually went either yuan sheng or summer to have steamboat
but now, we made it ourself at zermi's house, hoho!
what you can see from our food only had fishballssss, hotdogssss, tofussss and so on
all are same like this kind "fast food", haha!
Before started eating, we curi curi prepared a birthday cake for Jason
actually that day was not Jason's birthday, but since his birthday is on 2nd day of cny.
very pity that on his birthday day, we all are not around in Subang.
therefore, we helped him to celebrate earlier a week. ^^

btw, Happy Chinese New Year to all of my fellow friends.
I'm going back to hometown lo~
For my secondary friends, I'm going to meet you all la

1. Project Definition
For this project, I was given a website to redesign which is Asian Heritage Row. This is a place where has grown to be one of the trendiest strips in Kuala Lumpur, for tourists to come and savour the many types of food, and also a place for KL-ites to kick of their shoes and have a relaxing time.

Therefore, once I received this project, I need to start to do all research about this place and also need to know what is their competitor to do the comparison. After re-arrange all the content then move to the design art direction to enhance to current visual now and also looks others nice commercial sites to study how their site flowing and make convenient and easy to get understand for the site.

2. Current Site's Analysis Goals
Once I opened the site, it gave me a very strong chinese feel and I have no idea what is this site about. After I read through all the content, I only know this website is introduced about a very happening street in KL. From the color mood, It shouldn't be problem to match with the mood of cultural place. However, from the layout, it should be improved.

For current layout, it's simple but not attractive. Besides, for the navigations design, it is too simply even there are all lower case and no any nicer typo to stand out. Therefore, I would redesign a layout - a specify frame to it and design a banner to enhance the visual. I also would redesign the navigation to look attractive.

For the content part, it is quite confuse especially for events part. so 1st I want to re-arrange will be the events part. Again I would design all the content page instead of this kind of so bored information.

Besides that, I would design a banner for the website and try to add on a bit flash to let the website to be more lively.

3. Client's Analysis
The Asian Heritage Row that we know of today reflects a new and modern era for city goers. It is a place where power lunches and dinner parties take place. It is trendy, hip and unmistakably cosmopolitan. Yet, it is distinctively Malaysian and cultural in architecture.

The founder and developer of Asian Heritage Row, had a vision to develop the neglected colonial structures, into aesthetically modern architectural pieces that would still maintain the heritage and identity of the original Neo-classical style architecture of the early 20th century.

Asian Heritage Row was developed to encapsulate the city's past, present and future. As with most great cities of the world, which have their unique cultural and leisure districts (eg. Montmart in Paris, Soho in New York, Lan Kwai Fong in Hong Kong and Clark Quay in Singapore), Asian Heritage Row aims to position itself as a new landmark for the city as a cultural, dining and entertainment district for both international tourists and locals.

For further future plans, AHR hopes to develop the area into a lifestyle village, where one can easily wine, dine, lounge and perhaps even go shopping. In the near future, the Asian Heritage Row outlet mix will include up-market fashion stores, an art gallery, beauty salons and an outlet for interior décor. Weekend daytime bazaars along the street are also being planned.


4. Short & Long-term Site Goals
For the long term site goals, I will focus on the layout design. I would like to make my new redesign layout to be more attractive and looks modern enough to stay for long period. Because for the current design, it already looked a bit boring and down. For the short term, I will focus on the content information especially for the event part to lets people always know what is the upcoming event very soon.

5. Target Audience
Asian Heritage Row is more attracted to Tourist because AHR has made a mark in the local tourism trade and there are plans for more ties with the Malaysian Tourism Board.

Last night, Patrick and Zermi came to my home here for photography shooting (experiment) for their final project.
For Patrick, his shooting object is a beer bottle
so last night he kept shooting for the bottle and setting different lighting for it.
However, for Zermi his final topic is Instruments
he borrowed Guitar and Saxophone from his friend
then Jason and me be the model...
=_= I really can't acting cool~ hahaha!

2009-01-17 - Saturday
Today, Patrick, Jc, Karo, Lock and me went to Liu lang together.
actually not really Liu Lang lah, we still had the purpose for today

1st, we went to Ikea because Patrick is going to move to Ridzuan lah.
we stayed there for whole afternoon then only went to KL for shooting
today shooting venue is Asian Heritage Row
actually I went there to do research for my web design 2 - redesign commercial sites
that Asian Heritage Row is my client to redesign.

However, what we had shoot?
nothing much on shooting the street and bars.
Once we parked our car, there is a area where is very old and dirty but is very nice to take photos.
we keep taking photos there then only walked to the street.

today I didn't shoot any nice photos, haiz...
my shooting patient is getting lower already.
So ugly and no much I like.

but I very like these photos that is taken by Patrick. hehe! ^^

2009-01-16 - Friday
Today we started outing research for Digital Video
There are 5 topics we had chosen, so today we went to KL hope can interview each of them.
yeah, Admir driving!

1st, is blink couple who have been singing at beside the street for many many years.
this is the topic that we're hope to be successfully as our documentary.
but very unfortunately, today we could not meet this couple.

so next is a mak cik who sell a cendol for many many years also yet still using manual making.
when we arriving there, there is no cendol selling
we get disappointed again but soon we suddenly saw a mak cik who open a table and started set up her stuffs.
we were so happy and can't waited to interview her.
1st of all, we planed how to start asking mak cik while waiting mak cik set up.

we decided to buy her cendol 1st then Admir started chatting with her but actually want to get some information from here.
the mak cik is really nice lar, very nice smiling to welcome all of our questions.
Admir:"Mak Cik, kenapa awak tak guna machine buat itu cendol?"
Mak Cik (Smiling):"Mak Cik suka buat macam ini." (means manual shaving)

This is the mak cik
you see, she still using the very tranditional way to make cendol
she has been there already for 19 years but she still insist not using machine.
very interesting,rite?
Mak Cik is really strong and independent to support her children just selling the cendol after her husband was diet when she was 19 years old (if i no mistake the age)
we thought mak cik sure earn a lot of money but actually now she still taking bus for everyday come here to sell cendol.

After that, is around malay pray time
Admir is time to go mosque and left 4 of us still searching for the 3rd topic
we walked to Petaling Street to look for Coffin Shop
unfortunately again, the coffin shop is moved, aiya~
but very thanks to shi yi's friend who fetched us go to the place where's coffin shop new location

we though this job would have a lot of taboo
but after we met mr.Lim, we only realize there is no any taboo after listen his answer.
obss" then what should we ask more?
haha, Aurelia started asking about this coffin shop background history and the making of the coffin.
It is quite interesting actually.
mr.Lim told a lot of things that we only realize actually nowadays people is very open minded
for example, people dare to take pictures or video with the death person who in coffin.
Everything is turned to very western way already.
From the shop, there is totally no any chinese traditional coffins
all the coffins are designed very beautiful and sure very confortable for death person sleep inside there. haha!

after that, mr.Lim brought us to a room where is cleaning death person's organ and make up/dress up.
the room looks like a operation room.
mr.Lim ask:" if u dare to see, I will open to let u see." (means the progress of cleaning organ)
wah, actually I quite wonder and wanna to see lo
but I also scared after saw the progress, I would keep dreaming bad thing. haha
so after that we still no touched this kind of thing.

Is time to back to petaling street
but how we go back? because shi yi's friend already not there
very far is u want to walk back to petaling street
so we called to taxi radio there to order a taxi but... :"sorry, no taxi there."
haiz... after that we walked to the outside (a few minutes journey) and waited for taxi beside the big road.
haha... quite fun lah actually
because I hv not been like that before.

Back to petaling street, we took bus to go back sunway to have next round where is puchong for interview and eat a food - Loi Cha 擂茶
it was my 1st time eating Loi Cha which is a very heathly food.
Yummy! I hope to go there again for next time.

*** I didn't take any photos there because my camera was low battery.

I took out all the my shoes and my sister's one to scan one by one
then combine them to be one, nice bo?
hehe.. only the 1st row is my new high heels, others one all are belonging to my sisters.

1st of all, I want to say Happy New Year to everyone ^^
For this new year, I went to Singapore alone and spent 4 days in Singapore with my er jie and er jie fu

In New Year eve, er jie and er jie fu brought me to Raffles to see firework. Erm...there was no any countdown one di, the firework suddenly came out we only realize it was 12.00am.
"Happy New Year~!" Only er jie and me shouted at there.
haha... sound looks like boring, rite?
Yup, it is a bit because we were not located on the centre.
After the firework, 3 of us walked to Clarke Quay.
hoho, my er jie is a clubbing kaki o, 1st time clubbing with her at Lunar Bar
but only danced until half, my er jie fu brought us out from there already. hahahaha!
why? because he worried his D300 in the bar's locker. haha
yup, during that night, my er jie fu kept taking our photos on all the way.
sam fu sai er jie fu lah ^^
Yeah, Singapore is a shopping heaven ler, we shopped a lot during these 4 days
we went to Marina Square lar, Bugis Junction lar, Tampines Mall lar, Ang Mo Kio Hub and Millenia Walk lah!
This made me didn't have any photo shoot although I brought my camera go to Singapore
but actually I also lazy to bring the camera out to shopping lah. haha
I really shoped until pokai gao gao, thanks for my er jie bought a high heels for me for my last item. ^^

Besides shopping, er jie also brought me to taste a lot of delicious foods
Originally, I thought Singapore foods are very suck, totally can't compare with Malaysia.
but after this trip, I feel that Singapore foods actually are not bad mar, although most of them are copied from Malaysia foods.
I love the "GoGo Prata Hotday", it is a hotdog covered by roti canai, very nice ^^
I love the Tomyam Fried Fish Soup, damn delicious.
and most I love is Fried Durian, wah... special rite? I can't believe that Durian can be fried one. Geng ya!
Besides Fried Durian, I also did tasted another durian food which is Durian SwissRoll, nice also.
No matter what, as long as it's done by durian then nice lar! ^^
obss.. my on diet planning is totally failed in Singapore. haha!

During at home, the main activity is watching Singapore drama - The Little Nyonya {小娘惹}
wah.. this drama damn damn damn nice, super strongly recommend.
faster, go search on youtube or where to take a look and see whether can download or not.
and then this drama theme song and ending song are so nice also.
In brief, whole drama is worth to let u chasing to watch.
but I just hv watched until half only. haiz~

for the last day in Singapore.
Finally I went to Millenia Walk to find out "Chocolate Research Facility"
this is considered a world's first: Chocolate bars offered in 100 different flavors.
I know this Chocolate shop from a Singapore designer - Christ Lee who shared their project in DesignYatra.
The idea is really attractive and very fresh compare to any chocolate shop.
especially from the chocolate packaging, wow... I like them so much although I don't like to eat chocolate.
but I bought 3 packs back to Malaysia to share with my sisters and friends.

That's all for my Singapore trip.
actually during these 4 days, er jie lost her wallet but found it back from the cinema next day, very fortunately o.
